A Message from the Principal
Welcome back, Clay Lamberton families!
I hope your break was restful and fun. We are excited to see our students back in the building and ready for a strong start to January. This month, we will begin our mid-year testing. These checks help us see how your child is growing in reading and math, and they help teachers plan the next lessons and supports. You can help at home by making sure your child gets good sleep, eats breakfast, and arrives at school on time.
After testing, we have a great stretch of solid learning ahead. Our classrooms will be focused on clear learning goals, practice time, and celebrating growth—big or small. Thank you for being our partners. Let’s make January a month of steady learning and proud progress!

Even when the weather turns chilly, our students will keep enjoying the great outdoors. Please make sure your child is ready for the cold by sending them with warm coats, hats, mittens, snow pants, and boots. Let’s embrace the winter weather together! |

This winter, Clay Lamberton families are invited to join Mrs. Markee for a parent book study on The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. Together, we’ll explore how technology use and the loss of play impact children’s well-being and discuss ways to help kids grow up more connected, confident, and joyful. Meetings will be held every other Thursday at 6:00 PM starting January 19, with childcare provided. Books are free for participants—please RSVP using the link below, or call the office by December 5 to reserve your copy for pick-up beginning January 5. |

Chilly Days, Warm Hearts
The BHS Education for Parenting class recently teamed up with Mrs. Goettl's second graders for a walk to the park to admire the trees. The older students also lent a helping hand in the elementary classroom.
We're so grateful for the amazing partnership between these two classes!

Gingerbread Men on the Loose!
Ms. Mullen's kindergarten class had an amazing time decorating gingerbread men with all the frosting and sprinkles they could imagine—just look at those creations!
During recess, the gingerbread men made a run for it, and the kids had a blast following clues to track them down.
What a fantastic way to celebrate the holiday spirit with these incredible students!

Having a Blast in Library/STEM Class
Recently, students used a 3D pen to create glasses and Eiffel Towers, built various things with cardboard, listened to audiobooks with headphones, and enjoyed using VR headsets, which is their favorite activity!
Learning is always more fun when it's exciting!
