A Message from the Principal

We are excited to share some great news from our winter i-Ready testing! Our students have already reached 65% of their yearly reading growth goal and 67% of their yearly math growth goal—and we are only halfway through the school year. That is something to celebrate!

i-Ready helps us see how much growth students are expected to make in one school year. Being more than halfway to that goal right now shows that our students are learning every day and putting in strong effort. It also shows the impact of high expectations, great teaching, and families supporting learning at home.

We are proud of our Cougars and the progress they are making. When we work together, amazing growth happens. This is The Cougar Way—learning, growing, and doing our best every day!

Snuggled Up at School!

Ms. Seitz’s 2nd-grade class got extra cozy—pajamas on, stuffies and blankets in hand, yummy snacks nearby, and students happily reading their favorite books. The best kind of learning happens when you’re comfy!

Warm Up With a Good Book

Blankets, good books, and smiling readers filled the day at Clay Lamberton Elementary during “Warm Up with a Good Book Day.” Thanks to the Clay Lamberton Student Council, students enjoyed a cozy and fun reading experience that encouraged a love of books while creating warm, memorable moments throughout the school.

It's always a fun day of learning in Ms. Petkoff's class!

Welcoming Nick Tokman from "Deadliest Catch" for Inspirational Event

Our district had the honor of welcoming Nick Sunshine Tokman from the hit show Deadliest Catch for an inspiring and unforgettable presentation. A huge thank-you to Mrs. Miller and the Berlin FFA for helping make this opportunity possible.

With his high-energy, positive spirit, Nick spoke about “Becoming Your Own Captain” and encouraged 5th grade students to believe in themselves, work hard, and follow their passions. His enthusiasm was contagious, and our students were fully engaged from start to finish.

We are so thankful for this amazing experience. Nick truly lived up to his nickname and brought a whole lot of “Sunshine” to our school!
