A Message From the Principal
Greetings BHS Families-
Welcome to the 4th quarter of the school year. With only approximately 30 school days left for our seniors and just another week more for everyone else, the end of the school year is in sight.
With that excitement also can come some stress. There is a lot happening in a short amount of time. It can be hard for our students to manage it all. Add on the temptation to enjoy the improving weather and it can be a challenge to maintain academic priorities. Here are a few tips for our students/families to make sure that those priorities are not lost while maintaining a healthy school-life balance:
Keep track of deadlines and avoid procrastination. Time can be a major factor in stress, so plan and work ahead to avoid surprises against the deadlines.
Maintain a planner or calendar. There are lots of additional events this time of year and keeping a visual reminder of those helps.
Set short-term goals. Completing something that is necessary (like a homework assignment) before doing a leisure activity helps a person relax and have a sense accomplishment. If you do the leisure activity first, knowing there are things you still need to do, it takes away from enjoyment of the leisure activity.
Make a prioritized checklist. A physical list that shows completed steps/activities helps in motivation to continue that progress.
Get enough sleep and eat a balanced diet. If you are feeling well, you can get a lot more done.
Be realistic and fair to yourself. People are often their own worst critics. Make sure what you are asking of yourself is manageable.
Ask for help when you need it. We all need it from time to time in different ways.
Don’t let the business of the next few months keep you from being your best.
Have a great April.
Yours,
Bryant Bednarek

Finish Strong, Class of 2026!
With just 36 school days remaining, the finish line is in sight. This time can bring excitement, but also the temptation to check out early. Remember, your last impressions are just as important as your first. With awards, scholarships, and references still being finalized, it’s important to stay focused and give your best effort through the end.
More importantly, take time to soak it all in. These final days are part of a chapter you’ll always remember, make the most of them.
A quick reminder for seniors and families: the BASD Board of Education encourages all seniors to finish strong. Per policy 5460, seniors must maintain at least a 90% attendance rate during the fourth quarter to participate in graduation. This means no more than three absences from now until the end of the school year.
Let’s make this last quarter your best one yet. Finish strong, you’re almost there!
